Early on in this thing, there were tons of unknowns. Even though I was against all the lockdown shit from the very beginning, some of the measures that were taken are somewhat understandable due to the lack of data and knowledge at the time.
Now that we know how harmless this virus is to the vast majority of people. Now that we know the new variant is much weaker. And most likely will continue to get weaker. Now that we know that lockdowns and masks don't really work..
Now many of these D's want to tighten down the screws again? Games are getting canceled again?? Etc etc..

1 side is SIGNIFICANTLY more bullish about the rona precautions than the other. This isn't close and the results are seen in blue states vs red states (check migration trends for the fallout from that sometime), of course they deserve more of the blame for the fact that 10 months after the vax dropped we're still treating this like the black plague.

Taking the thread back to sports, don't really care about bowl games or NBA or NHL being canceled. Most bowl games are meaningless and regular season is meaningless too. Just that in NFL, big name players are out every single week now. I'd never call a season tainted and dismiss when fans say that in general but if this continues into the playoffs hard to really be interested who wins much beyond betting. Also, major headache in fantasy football.
